Dec 15, 2015 the Last Letter

This is my last letter that I will send as a missionary.

last week on Friday I was able to go to a sealing of someone that I reactivated in Rivera. it was an amazing experience to see the full circle of this family. from advoiding us to being sealed. they have learned so much and are growing. not only that but the people that needed help when I was in rivera have also grow and have been strengthened. I have come to really see how much the gospel of Jesus Christ blesses the people on the earth.

this last week i will log a total of 55 hours of travel which includes 3 trips to montevideo and the trip home and the Trip to Vegas ¡GO COUGS!

I am excited to see you, however sad to leave Uruguay. It has become part of me. It will be a culture shock when I get home.

In my mission I have had many experiences that have changed my life but one that has stood out to me is in 3 nephi 10 4-8 this includes the doctrine of christ and the gathering of isreal. I know that if my friends and family are not there at the second coming I will Cry and I will Scream. Because I know that I could of done more and I didnt.

last night we taught luciana and fedrico this lession. and i asked that.... I have done everything that i can as a full time missionary (tthey havent gone in 2 months to church), now it is your hands. are you going to make me cry when Christ comes.(by not being there).

Attached are my experience that I have had on my mission.

November 25, 2015

sorry for not writing last week. there was some complications and a few bus rides to montevideo.

but i am doing good. this last week we worked hard and we found about 4 new people to teach.

so we had an interesting situation with our water. we had it cut for 6 days. it just got turned on last night before we left for montevideo. so lucky we were able to shower. sponge baths were just not cutting it.

but we are doing good. and working.
we found a kid named maximo. he is 18 years old and his whole family are member except for him.... i dint know why he is not baptized yet. we left a chapter to read and we came back for the next visit and he had read it and not only that but looked in the guide for the scripture and written questions that he had from his reading and he prayed and was truly seeing to understand more. i am excited for him to continue to progress.

we also have a 18 year old the is going to do a mini mission from our ward. she was semi active and not very interested with her scripture studies... this past sunday she got the call saying she was going to serve in rivera... wow did she change. not only her but also her entire family. they are all reading and super energetic about the church. it is perfect timing as well. because the mom is just coming back strong. so this will be a huge blessing to the family and they will love it.  ... as well she will be able to do interviews with pte this next week.

other then that we are doing good. i hope that all will go good today and will be able to start with running and not have to take anymore showers with a bag.

I love you all and Happy Thanksgiving

November 9, 2015

this week we had stake conference and President smith came as well. it was a great conference and alot of people loved it as well. all the talks hit the same points. and they were the basics. they all came in them from different angles but they all hit that we need to read the book of mormon.read read read. that is the basics and base to all learning in this life.
we were all given the challenge to read the book of mormon with in the next 5 months, before the next conference. i like this challenge. becuase now everyone is getting pushed from there leaderes as well.

we had a talk given about the safest place for a ship is the port. but a ship is not made to be docked in port. it is just like us and the church building. we a made and here to go out and work in the ward. and help others come home to the port.

but we went out and worked with him .after the stake conference and it was a great lesson. i feel early on in my mission i was timid when i taught with leaders or with Pte smith. but now i have come to a point where i know what i am teaching will save the person. and to be honest with elder Neilson and i we felt as if president was just another member that we were working with.

we made cinnomon rolls today they are super good. but i am wiating for moms cinnomon rolls.
and tommorrow we hav concilio in montevideo so this will be interesting to see what we are going to do with the mission.

President smith has a ton of trust in us. it was interesting, at dinner he was telling us all sorts of things and asked us if we wanted to go to rivera together this week. since we were comps there last year.

Also Luciana and Fedreco got married we were pretty happy about that.

November 3, 2015

this week we have changes. my comp is going home and he asked president to spend the last 3 days in his area that he had been in before in the same zone. so I was with elder Whitacre for the last 3 days. he looks like he could be a Pulsipher. so its like i was with a mini-me.

but for my comp i will be with elder Neilson. he was my comp last year in December. the super tall blond one. this will be a blast of a change. pte smith called for the changed Sunday and he told me that my comp would be elder Neilson. ¨you deserved it. you have worked hard¨ because pte knows we got along and worked very hard together.
he was comps with me. for one change and then with elder woodcock for two. and i was with elder woodcock as well for 2 changes.
so we have all been comps to each other for 2 changes each.

this last week i learned alot about the plan of salvation and how it works with us. why are we here on the earth.... to learn and to grow. and if we keep that in mind with all other questions of the gospel. everything makes sense. God gives trials so that we can grow and progress.

and also in PME in the section of our life on the earth.
the first sentence is the life is a great opportunity and blessing.
How is it a blessing. we don't get blessings for free. we have to earn them somehow. so something that we did qualified us for these blessing that we are receiving.

and that was our obedience before this life. and for the choices we made. some of us come into better situations then others. i don't know if that is from our obedience before this life. i would like to thinks so... from what i was given i feel i must of been very obedient before this life. i have had many opportunities in my life that others do not have. and never will. but  with much is given, much is expected. so i will have to continue and grow my talents that the Lord Gave me.

i heard that anson needs to kick for tvhs. i heard they are struggling with that one.

October 26, 2015

this last week we were able to teach the doctrine of christ again to the people. it has help the majority of the people here to come back and take the sacrament.
we had a bauptism of the child of someone that we had brought back to church. his child has just turned 8 and so he was baptized by his father. they are going to get sealled here in january. so that was very nice to see.
President called us on saturday morning and he told us he wanted to take us up to riverea for the weekend. he was going to stake conference there. and since my comp and i had both been there he wanted to take us with him. but things didnt workout on our side for getting out for the weekend. we had to many lessons. but he told us next time he will take us. he has done alot of these trips with me since i have become zone leader. he normally doesnt do these with anyone.

October 19, 2015

The weeks are flying by. this last week we had a ton of lessons helping the less actives come back to chuch and make goals to get there temple recomond back.

we have been working with a family to acheive these goals so that they can go back to the temple as a family.

we have been working with our ward leaders alot here in this ward and they are now working very efficiently with the plan that we have.

as for the zone we have worked with them to focus in on more investagators. there are alot more people that have people progressing with a baptisml date. we are happy with that and all the wards, this last week, went up with all there numbers. so that makes us happy that the zone is clicking alot better now.

we did service this week with our elders quorme president and he reminds me alot of dad and grandpa. he has a nice house and nice things because he works hard and he is constantly working. we have plans to make a bench and a rack for lifting. i have all the weights just not a rack. so this will be nice and a help to continue getting bigger.

i hope everything is going well at home. aubrey i am praying for you in your test this week. keep it up

and adam i am hearing good things from you from some of my misison buddies. keep killing it out there on the football feild.

i hope everyone is doing good.

this week i was studying the basics again. i went in lession one and ripped apart the teachings in PMG. i asked simple questions and tried to get better understanding.

for example
God has a body of flesh and bone.
Where and when did he get it?
Jesus Christ is central to the plan of God
Why and why Jesus, why not someone else
and there were some other ones that i cant remember but i have written down. it is just interesting to ask simple questions that we think we know. but we really dont.

for example where is the spirit world. on the earth. but there is prission and paradice. where are they are. its seperated. but where is it seperated...

how was it phyisically possible that christ bled from his pores. did his skin disolve or what. what happened with that.

who created us. God the Father or Jesus christ.
did god the father have to pass through an atonement.
how did The father become perfect.
did he have a christ.
how  many christ exist

just many interesting things.

hope all is well. keep working hard

Oct 12, 2015

this week there was alot of new things that happened. at zone conference on tuseday Pte brought me in to talk with me and said that he was going to switch my comp. he did not like his attitude and he was going to get switched to montevideo and the next change if he doesnt change he will get pulled down from zone leader. i hope he can get his act together. but he came and didnt want to be here in TBO.

but now i have elder Farnsworth. he is going home in 4 weeks. so it will be a good 4 weeks of work and then i will get a new one.

so this weke i worked in every single area in the zone doing divisions and staying with other missionaries because my comp left on wenseday and my next comp got here on friday night. so i was going all over the place. but it was good to be able to work with all the elders in th zone and help them all out.
so i was thinking alot about what mom always said to me Remember who you are and what that means. it is crazy to look at our eternal potential. we have so much and we need to work to acheive it. not only will we get there. to live with Heavenly father. we will alose Become like him. and live as he lives. what is our true potential. and this potential is not only for me. but also for everyother one of Gods Kids.
if we look at there perspective. like the apostle said in conference. if we look at the people with the perspectiveof the Father. it changes everything.

these first 3 weeks of the change have flow by we are already in week 4. but thats because i was gone out of my area 8 of the days. it was crazy. but now its crank down and work.

we have had 2 families so far come back and are active now. so we are having alot of success out here in the matutina.

¡HOY ES EL DÌA!

OCTOBER 5, 2015

This week flew by.

monday night we left from TBO at 145 in the morning for montevideo and then we had concilio. in Concilio we talked alot about what we have learned adn how we can grow from eachother. something that i really liked is we talked about the plan of salvation and the premortal life. it helped me understand the big picture on the entire plan of salvation. and also that there was only one plan which was Gods. Satan di not have a plan nor did he understand Gods plan. because if someone understands the doctrine they never miss a sunday taking the sacrament. so if he understood the plan he would of wanted to come down to earth to obtain a body and receive all that God has for him. it is interesting to think about that thought with patciene. he wanted it now and could not wait.
also there was a though, that satan was intelegent. . . . He is not. intelegence is light. he was pure darkness. he is very cunning. but intelegent he is not.
it made me think during conference, everytime that light was mentioned I related it to our brightness of our intelegence. it is a different way of thinking about it. we have to let our brightness shine.
light your light so shine

and then the leaders from Tacuerambò had the privalage to go to the temple afterwards. and to think about all the things we had learned from the plan of salvation and also all of the studies that i have had personally and with my companion and then to go to the temple. alot more things s¡made sence to me. but still alot to learn

and so we got back home after the buss at 5 in the morning and went straight to work the next day. then thurseday i did divisions with elder whitacare. he is a new missionary from north carolina. he reminds me of me when i started. it was kinda of fun to look back and to see the change that has taken place in my mission.

so on the 1st of october pte smith called me up and asked what i had planned for my birthday. i told him nothing. he said it just so happens that i am going to be there in tacuarembò tonight and i want to take you out to eat and then i want to take you with me to artigas. would you like to go back to the area where you were born?

so we eat dinner at the hotel with him and we started at 10 and so i got home around 1130.
the next morning we left at 8 for artigas and then we went on divisions all day. i went with elder baggat and it was very fun because he teaches just like elder woodcock and i did so there was no problem to teach together. we taught a lesson to the hermana fulco. we got her going back to church after 8 years when i was there. she used to be the releif society president. it was sad to see she hadnt gone since. nor had he family. i felt and told her that the lord has sent me here today to teach you these things that i now know to help you reach salvation. i told her the lord called me 2 years ago but i could not speak and did not know the doctrine. however He alowed me to come today and teach it to you. . . and so we taught. she comited to return as she felt the spirit so strong. it was funny when she opened the door and saw it was me i feel the spirit touched her knowing that what i just wrote was true.

it was also awesmoe to she various families active in the church that werent so much when i had left. when we went in there house and noticed that they were on fire we figured nope we arent going to waiste our time. lets continue working. we turned down 4 lessions and then had 5 more through out the day.

so when we got home from artigas it was already 2 in the morning so we took a taxi from the hotel and hurried home.

we then had a zone capacitation and then conference all of saturday and all of sunday. i really enjoyed it and learned alot from it.

i Really like the pnderizing i am going to make that a goal and i will send home my scripture every week.

September 28, 2015

this last week we had changes and my comp went home. i am really going to miss him. i think with him i progressed the most. we both learned more in the last two changes then we had our entire mission. we worked super hard and had a blast. we were complete opposites but we had the perfect ballence to ballence eachother out. but we both pushed each other in all things especially work outs because we hated to lose.

but i sent him off at 2 in the morning and then had to stay at the terminal and send another off at 4 and then at 6 and 7 and then 10 and then 1 and 3 and 5 and 6. and then had to come back at 11 at night. bottom line i slept 30 minutes and spent 15 hours at the terminal doing changes.

but i think i have recovered on sleep finally.

this week i was studying into the atonement of christ. it was interesting to study in 3rd nephi 8 and to see all the destruction. and we know that that is when jesus died. but the interesting thing is the verses before the destrucion it calls him jesus. and then afterwards he says I AM JESUS CHRIST. i made me think why. he had to suffer and attone for us in order to be worthy to be called the christ. the savior of the world. he still had the agency to deny his calling. but his attonment changed him.

i truley feel to be called christan or to take his name upon us, we too have to allow the attonment of christ to mold us and to change us. we have to permit a change. and if we let it change us we will be able to return and live with him again.

i hope that everyone of us can humble ourself before the lord and allow the attonment of christ to change us.

my companion now is elder quintanilla. he is a little energy ball. its a huge difference from my last comp.

this week we have alot of capacitaion. tommorow mission council and then temple and then friday zone capacitaion and then conference saturday and sunday but i am excited for it.

keep working hard everyone. i love you all.

September 14, 2015

this week we had interveiws with preident and they were super interesting. we started talking about the preisthood. we pulled apart the hymn elders of isreal and d and c 20 and 42. we did all of this and then president showed he talked about the resterationa dn how to teach it in 3 minutes with bold powerfull statement. he talked about the best leaders leave room for others to fill it. the best teachers leave room for the spirit to testify. it is super true how that changes how i thought about teaching everything else. we have to shorten our sentences. less is more. powerful statements that are open ended.

that sounds like the team is really obidient to the honner code this year.

we had interveiws with president and he started of my interveiw with hey elder pulsipher you wont beleive what happened of saturday. byu won on a hail marry pass. when i take you out to dinner tonight i will show you the highlights.

but then we got talking about the team and relating it to the gospel. for example in helaman 4 i think it says how they couldnt beat the lamenites because they were bigger faster and stronger and they had lost the spirit.
when i was at byu in a team meeting coach mendenhal walked in and said guys you know why we are not having success. it is because you  are not keeping the honner code as a whole. get your act together. the lord will not bless us unless we change.

and it is very true. byu isnt the biggest, strongest fastest. but the have the spirit of the lord. and they win. coach mendenhal is a true beleiver of that.

i was joking with president how my dad in his mission was able to watch the byu games. yeah he didnt budge on that one. but that was after he told me he was going to show me the highlights. it was funny because at the end they did the fight song. and he told me he had woken his kids up to the fight song when they were growing up

then we went out and worked with president after the interveiws and we went to luciana and she when we walked in she told us that they had pulled out a date to get married. we were super happy and then she picked out  here own  date for the mission.

we then taught her and him about the law of chasity.and it is super interesting in the lession. i was inspired to share something about adams sealing. how the sealling is done on a altar of sacrafice. and that is true and they have to make sacrafices even know before they get married. and the sacrafice now is that they wont have sexual relations until they are married.

and that they wont sleep in the same bed or even room. and fedrico(the spouse) will take his mattress and sleep on the ground in the other room.

it is interesting what someone will do when they know it is true.

Sept 7, 2015

that sounds like the football game was nutts. and that adam and matt could both play.

this week we worked alot with members and we have been working alot harder to teach in a even humbler way. to leave the peopl even more to figure the things out.
on divisions this last week i went to the ward that shares a church with my last ward. and we stopped by to visit the elders quorme president like President asked, because they dont have any missionaries right now. and we are supposed to check up on them every once in a while.
crazy thing is that we went there and we found a son of someone in our ward in la matutina(were we are at right now) and he is not a member. we have always wanted to teach him but we never could. and i feel it is a pride issue. he is 26 years old married and with one kid. goes to his own church, so why would he ever want to have the missionaries infront of his parrents. i understand that. but he was at his uncles house and his cousin is the doctor that just got back from cuba(she was studying there and just got home. i wrote about her 2 or 3 weeks ago) anyways he was super open to listening to us at that time. i felt he was a dry member. he just has to go for a swim and he is a member. he had read the book of mormon before and he knew his way around it. he also was participating just as much as the family.
i was with elder macias. he was my last comp right before my current one. and we taught the lession in 3 nefi 17 about compasion. and he loved it. we left. and then his ``friend`` slash cousin continued talking to him for the next three hours. it just goes to show if  afriend talks to you about the gospel you will listen. but if it is some one of authority, you wont. we all need to be that friend inorder to find those people that we are looking for.

and i thought what is our weekness. it doesnt say our weeknesses. but our weekness. singular. i thought. the natural man. and then i thought right here it talks about if we are humble we over come our weekness. and then i made me think oppisite of humble. pridefull. and there it is the natural man equals pride. then it made me think in either 12 27 it says if we are humble we get the grace of God. where else do we here about the grace of God in the book of mormon. or how we can receive it.... 2 nefi 25 23 by grace we are saved after all we can do. what is all we can do. what is the sacrafice we are told to give. a broken heart and a contrite spirit. we are save after we drop our weakness, whick is our natural man, or natural women, and that is our pride. we drop that. we fast we pray and we become humble. and becomeing humble having a broken heart and contrite spirit is litterally all we can do. and then and only then will the Lord help us with his grace.
i was studing in church on sunday and i read either 12 v.27

August 31, 2015

this week we found alot of people that are part member families. they also have desires to return to the church. the only hicup is that in the area that we are in right now, no one gets married. so we are workig super hard for the people to say ok we have to get married. and not us the missionaries demanding that they get married. so we are just guiding them and helping them come to the conclusion that they have to do it in order to progress.
with 2 of them they have come to that conclusion already.

one of which is luciana. we have given the comitment to her to pray and fast and get a day for her baptism. they arent married and she said we need to get married first. and we asked her to pray and fast for a date. and if the Lord tells you a date everything will fall in place. because here
it can take a while sometimes to get married. but sometimes it will come within a day or two. so we are helping them look for the will of God. and then they will follow it. and they will strive to acheive there goal that God gave them.

we are trying to help the people receive more of there own revelation and we feel that it is working well to help the people Acheive the salvation. and to also help other people along the way.

we also had stake conference this last sunday. we had a good turn out and it was a video brodcast from salt lake. elder Cook Spoke and elder Hales and sister Marriot and richard g maines all spoke. we also heard from our stake president and also from Elder Gonzalez. the president of south america sur. it is super interesting with technology now. becuase the speakers spoke from 3 different pulpets in three different churches. it is amazing how much the church is growing and progressing with the technology. and the even crazzier thing is that each person talked on the same exact thing. and none of it was planned. our stake president and the area president didnt even know who was going to be speakig.

but everyone spoke on missionary work and also on the sabbith day. they hit that very hard. it was also a spiritual testament to her elder cook talk about what i had studied in 3 nefi 17 he spoke on that chapter. it was a cool experience to know my understanding of it came from above, and the lord wants everyone to understand the things that are found within this chapter

last week pte canceled the interveiws and changed them to the 10th of september. he had to stay in montevideo and couldnt make it out.

August 24, 2015

concilio was great we dug down and looked at why we werent having success. and the key thing was the following bad belifs that the mission has.
1. we have a key indicator. new investagators with member ( we only count new investagators if members are with us)
the bad belief or culture is that we dont find unless we have a member with us. and we dont contact either.
it was funny i was sitting and people were skirting that reason. they would give any other reason or excuse. and then after about  5 minutes of them trying to explain why the numbers were so low. i said the beleif the mission has made. and president was kinda releived someone said it. he said thank you and for that we are taking away this key indicator. we will no longer have news with members. he said it was his favorite but it was hurting in final.

and then as it continue. we hit another. and i think i learned this from dad. i am not afraid to touch the topics people dont like to touch. you might as just take the bull by the horns.

next one is that the missionaries are not living there purposes baptizing. they are more focused on less active and not worring about baptism. but what is our purpose as missionaries. D and C 42. to Baptize. and once again. president was thankful some one would say that. we have changed our foucus with all the things we are doing in the mission. we are now focussing on our true responsibility. even i have to change.
the entire mission as a whole. even president fell off track. we were so focused in on the memebers. and yes we helped them alot but i feel that this change will help out uruguay.

somehting i was studying was in 3 nefi 17. it is super interesting. i love it. it is interesting how many times christ says i have to go. but yet he continues to help them. i love this do you have any sick people. bring them i will heal them. and it goes to say those that are already healed and those that got healed rejoiced. and it could be of any afliction. with the aflictions we bring to christ. he will heal. those that we dont. or we dont confess will not be healed. and then he brought the children to him. and it was very powerfull what he did with them and then he said i have to go. and then he continued. and then with the most powerfull thing i feal that he could of ever done. he new they were sinners. he knew they werent perfect so he established a way to  make more coventents with him and to repeant. he established the sacrament. and he gave it to them to learn and to testify to the father. or the judge. that they remember christ. and they are willing to follow him. and he did this all out of compassion. but what does compassion mean. to suffer with someone. to understand some one to have missery for one another. it made me thing. and i want you all to think, do you have compasion. do i have it. even though my time is short. even though i will have to run instead of walk. even though i will miss the first part of my favorite tv show or miss the first part of the football game. am i doing everything i can to be like christ and to do more. am i giving up my personal desires to do those of christ. am i helping those in need. am i holding the door open for others. am i serving those in need. am i sharing t he gospel.

thats awesome that i am as a missionary. but am i as a member of the church when i get home. am i really following the example of christ.
home teaching
calling
talks
church meetings.
service.
how do i serve. do i do as much as i am physically capable.
what do i do if i have free time.
     what would christ do.

i have truely learned what compassion is this week in the scriptures. and i have been able to aply it in my life.

and then in 3 nefi 18 at the end of the chapter it says i have to go. its for your own benifit. and i made me think why. its so they could grow and show faith in what they have learned. i feel like i could give a 5 hour capasitation in just using the 2 chapters. 17 and 18. there is so much in there.

also i am helping my comp with his aplication to byu. he is a convert and lives in arkansas. his parents arent members and hes working on them. and hes asking them if he can go to byu right now. so we will see how this goes

this week in the new area we went around getting to know everyone. the ward has alot of potential. and we are super happy. they just need a little push. the leaders in the ward want to work. we talked with the stake president because he belongs to that ward and he went there just to be with us. he is an awsome guy. we talked with him and we both came to the conclusion that we are going to start over. we are happy about it though. the area book is basically empty or really old. i think we will just start 100 percent over. we have a ward list and we have been contacting like crazy. we are working really hard. we are teaching everyone here the doctrine of christ. there is a ton of part member families. we were looking and the word is bad but the idea is right. easy pickings., or a better phrase the fruit is ripe. there are alot that are really close to baptism. so i hope with dilligence and obidience we will be able to harvest this area.

we have concilio tommorrow so that will be interesting on what we will learn and apply for the zone.

and saturday night i got a call from hermana smith at like 1015 she said that she was talking with chelse. they went to the scrimage and said that  pulsipher was all over the place. she said when did elder pulsipher get home. because she came out here for thanksgiving last year and we had a fireside with them. luckly i was in montevideo and was able to go. and she thought i was adam. so she call hermana smith and said that ëlder Pulsipher¨was all tearing it up. she was able to tell her nope thats his brother. Elder Pulsipher Goes home in December. but she called me just to tell me that. and that adam was doing really good at  the scrimage. i completly forgot that fall camp had already started. it was funny though she called and said.¨i just wanted to call you and tell you that, i even got permision from The Preident¨ and then he talked to me about the zone and how everything was going...... Got to love Hermana Smith.

this week for yoga i was doing sitting hamstring stretch and i put 6 Book of mormons on my feet and then rapped my hands around that and was touching fingertip to fingertip. so i am happy about that. and we are on bikes here so my legs are getting bigger. i am going to start focussing in now on power things.

but this week we had success with leading and guiding members to know the truth. we are helping people understand for them selfs. asking them what they need to do better. and they through it on the table. it works like magic. i feel like this will  be a very good change. i am killing my comp this change. he is happy that we can have a blast and work our butts off this last change.

i hope all is going well at home and with school stating back up.

we had someone from our ward that came home from cuba. she was studdying there and finished up she is now a general surgeon. it is a huge deal here. the entire city of tacuerembo is happy for her and that now there is one more doctor that will help all of the nothern half of uruguay.

August 10, 2015

this last week on Tuseday we got a call From the assistents and they told us our changes. they were special changes. i got moved to a different ward in the zone. the ward that  had the missionaries that had some problems. i went there to the matutina and then we were also told that i would be staying there for the next change as well.

so this last week was interesting. i dont want to sound pridefull or boastfull. but it makes a huge difference when you are with someone that wants it jusst as bad as you do. but it made me think of the phrase or idea of surounding yourself with greatness. it is something that i will do. i made a commitment with that. i do not like being around underacheivers.

but this week coming up we are going to have to hit the reset button on the area. because it needs to get redone. it has been over a year since it has been worked like it should be. it has potential. so we will go out there and kill it.

on saturday we had a capacitaion with all of the ward councils of south america. it was via satalite. and they hammered in the idea of jovenes. and of home teaching. it was a good capacitation and i learned alot of things that i want to apply here in the missiona as well as when i get home.

tonight we are helping with all the changes. we got lucky. we have 4 people leaving at 215 and then 1 more at 720. so we can sleep a couple hours go and then sleep some more. and then the pleple come in at 330 and 11130. and we also have to move houses. but there is another missionary in my group. he is here in t-BO right now and he is going to the zone of oest. where the major buss terminal is. we told him good luck. there in that zone they have to be at the terminal from 1230 in the morning until 12 at night. making sure everything goes smooth. so we are luck out here.

this last week we also got dumped on with rain.  3 days in a row. so everything was soaked in water. i love the rain... if i have a car. walking is ok. bikes are horrible. there is no winning with bikes. you cant even see with the rain.

a tool that we are getting down with our teaching is to ask the person what is the spirit testifing to them in that very moment. asking them what they need to do better. and then we say we dont want to know but will you make a covenent with God to do the things that the spirit is telling you to do.

August 3, 2015

this week we had divisions withe the assitents. since we are 5 hours from where they live they both came out here and spent the night and we both worked in the same area. so we double planned for the area. i was with elder trucalo from argentina. he was the assitent with elder staffieri. he is also a professional soccer player. so we had some athletisism in the companionship.

when i went on divisions with a district leader last week i didnt know what to teach. so i started out with asking them how there reading was what they had learned. we opened up and they shared what they liked from it and then from there it turned into a discussion based lesson. it was super spiritual and we were able to pinpoint there needs and then let the spirit take over. and then we were also able to go ful circle and relate it to what they had studied in there own studies. after that i tried it with my Companion and we loved it because we had the spirit testifing with so much power that they were telling us what they needed to fixx and what they needed to do better.
we continued doing it and everytime we found there doubts and there problems and they turned into some of the most powerfull and spiritual lessons i have had in my mission. but i know we can only do that in our companionship because we have done our companion studies and we have practiced with eachother in teaching with eachother. we know where we are going with things.
it is turning into, instead of teaching a lesson. have a study with the menos acticvo or the active member. and if they arent ready then we just found the problem.

something that i learned i had learned in one of these ¨studies¨or lessons was with alma 13 22-24 and i conected it to D and C 84:25-26 i conected them because i man had just received the aaronic priesthood but didnt understand the gathering of isreal. so i though what could we do. teach him about the gathering, or his roles as a aaronic preisthood holder.... or the both of the at the same time. and those two scriptures popped into my head. who are the ministring angels... the aaronic priesthood holders. and what do the angels do. that share the gospel and they prepare the hearts of the people. where was this man called to be an aaronic priesthood holder.. in this street. they just fit so perfectly. this has helpèd now quite a few understand there part in the gathering of isreal. all melcesidek priesthood holders are also aaronic preisthood holders.

everyday we are called by the lord to open our mouths and talk to people to help them out. to prepare there hearts to receive the gospel of christ. not only missionaries but also members. all priesthood holders. all endowed members of the church as well.

this week we also had lunch in a place that is a 30 minute bike ride. and right as we left a huge storm rolled in and we got drenched and all muddied up. but its all good the life of a missionary

we have been working out all the time we are lifting every morning and everynight for an hour each. so 2 everyday. we have this well  in our back yard and we are  using it for burpie box jumps.

and of course we are still doing an hour and a half of yoga every monday morning. its getting harder as my abbs and chest and legs are getting bigger but its good to keep working with it.

July 28, 2015

yesterday we had 2 meetings. one with the ward mission leaders of the stake and we capacitated them for a hour and a half on how to run the plan that is taking place here in south america. every ward was doing it in there own personal way. and so we got everyward running on the same page in the stake. and i t is set up in a way for all the wards to be able to be auto sufficient with the plan. and not get lazy with it.

right afterward we capacitated the sumo conceo on the same exact thing. so now the stake will be running alot smoother and without hicups.

speaking of this plan we had one of our first miricles. as we know in john 21 with the appstles fishiing if we try to do it in our own way there will be no results. but when we through our nets to the right. or the right way. or the way of the lord we will recieve all the blessings that the lord has for us.

if you remeber 2 weeks ago i mention a lady that was really angry with the church and she didnt want anything. she had been intative for the last 9 years and has never gone to church in that time..... we put here on the list for the plan that we just got rowlling in this ward.. and she showed up to church at of the blue. she came in and apolagized for being rude to us and that she is ready to repeant and come back to the church.. if we do it in the lords way miricles take place

this week we were also able to help out a companionship that was fighting. they had never gotten along all change. i am looking back and i am blessed to been able to have had 4 straight changes in a row of helping animate my comp. (during those changes they just wanted to go home) but i was able to learn and grow to be able to help them out. after the meeting with the comp that was disanimateed we all left the comps made up and my comp asked me how i did that. i need to change from a math and science major to a cominicater and a motivater becasue i did it so well.

i feel it is a masive blessing that the lord has given me. it was some of the hardest 4 changes of my mission but i grew so much.

i love you all and keep working.

adam one of the ward mission leaders here in tacuerembo went to your misison. he remembers you. his name is elder alvez.

he said you were a beast and worked your butt off.

July 20, 2015

this week i had a very interesting study with alma 36. it is super powerfull. the reason that anyone wants to share the gospel is because they understand the saving power of the attonement. so that made me think is that true. why would someone not want to. well they are scared. (they dont understand the power of the attonemnt to help them) they dont want to( well thats claro) they dont now who to ... so when it comes doewnt to it if someone does not share the gospel it is because they do not understand the attonment. we cant make all the excuses in the world. but to be truley converted to the gospel as alma the younger and then all of the conversions that alma the younger and the sons of moshiah had came to the same out come. they wanted to share the gospel with all there heart might mind and strength for the rest of there life and they did. if you look at alma 36 24 he taught sin cesar so people could come to the joy that he had felt for medeio of the attonment it is something very powerful and strengthening. look at alma 20 1 king lamoni wanted to take the missionaries to his fathrer who was not a member.

we are working hard with the leders of the stake and aswell as the leaders in our ward to get the plan for south amereica rolling. we are helping alot of the leaders understand how the things could be ran and how they need to be ran ino order to achieve success.

July 13, 2015

this week we had concilio and it was a really good learning experience. we came together and listed out the problems that we had in our zones. wrote them up on the white board and then we split up into groups and we came up with solutions that were clear and easy. then we presented them to the concilio and we were able to take all the new idea and aply them to the zone. we were thinking of our own area and how to aply all of these things that we had learned. all of it had to do with the plan that is going on in south america.
i have been blessed and was able to learn this in rivera and the ward was already doing it. and then i was able to put it in place in cerro. and now i have the plan internilize and i am able to aply it here as well. it is super interesting and super powerfull. it fits perfectly if done right.
we were thinking about it and it is a perfect summary of the red handbook. and it is a very agresive plan. in the sence if not run to a T, it wont gice the results.
so this week we have been meeting with all of our ward leaders and as well as the stake leaders and stake president. we are meeting with the stake president wenseday.

but crazy enough the hardest one to help them understand the plan is the one that has no part with it. the bishop has nothing to do with the plan. it even says on the plan that he is not to be in the meetings and involed. but something i have learned on the mission is that some times people dont understand after the first visit. you just keep going back and have patcience with them untill they get it.

last night we passed by a lady that is sealed in the temple but inactive. ¿como? no se. but she went off on us. and said how she didnt have time for the church see has to help her familt out and she basically told us to leave and she didnt need the sacrament to be saved. it was getting pretty heated. and then i asked her if i could say something. i bore a super simple testimony. super short and then asked if we could leave with a prayer. she said yes and we entered into her patio from the street and then i said the prayer. afterwards she asked us to come back tomorrow night. so we will go back to here tonight with someone in the bishopric.

just goes to show even though i wanted to tell her the truth that she is condeming herself by saying theses things as a sealed in the temple deciple of christ. it would of just ended worse off. you just got to bring the spirit to them even if they dont want it. but it will over power the wickedness.

we have seen here alot of cases like that. were i could see the devil working in the people.

as well i was asked to give a talk in church. and i was asked to give it about 5 minutes before church started. but i was prepared. i had my go to talk. 3 nephi 10 4 6 and 8. and its super true family and future family. i dont know what it is in english. pero yo voy a llorar y gemir por la perdida de mi pariente y amigos.
because i could of done more to save them and i did not do it.

for concilio we read and studied before hand the book of john and compare the relationship of heavely father and his son jesus christ. long story short the things i learned brought me to the point off repentence. or changing my whole thought proccess on the trinady. and the temple. i need to become more converted to the father. i did not have a true testimony of him. but christ testifies of him. all he does comes from the father. and the father testifies of the son. its just something very interesting.

i hope everthing is going good at home
i love you all

July 6, 2015

i am now in tacurembo i am her with elder woodcock. he has been comps with some of my comps so it was cool to talk about past bolasos that our comps did for fun in the mission.
our ward is a good sized ward there is about 100 to 115 in the attendence. so it is one of my biggest wards and it is my first ward that we are the only missionaries in it

in our ward we have all of the southern half of tacuerembo. we have a few pueblitos that are super far away that have members in it as well. and they come in every sunday for church.

we have bikes in our area so we are booking it abound everywhere we go. i was pretty sore the first couple days but now i am goetting used to it and its super effective. we have been able to triple the work load with the bikes.

we have been working alot with the members to understand the purpose as members in respect to the gathering of isreal. they were all called to there street do efect a work. they are Gods servents in this part of his vineyard.

its very interesting to think about the alagorey of the olive tree in respect to the gathering of isreal. Adam i will send you the 10 questions i promised on mothers day next week. i finally got a hold of them.

but it is super pòwerfull to know the plan that god has for us. one that he has always had with us. and goes back all the way to the time of abraham.

tonight we are going to leave to montevideo for concilio. we have it tommorrow. to prepare for it we were to study the relation of christ and The Father in the book of john. it is a very interesting relationship. the importance of having a christ and the how God could not do the attonement because it would take away of the the law and justice and mercey. and if they break that they would seize to be a GOD. it is very interesting to think how that could be. but then we think well they once where what we now are and they are what we will become. we are continually progressing and learning even when we come to that point in our progression. we are constantly learning. there is no end.

so how important are our desisions that we make

below is me and my comp. we rode out to a pueblito for a visit
