November 25, 2015

sorry for not writing last week. there was some complications and a few bus rides to montevideo.

but i am doing good. this last week we worked hard and we found about 4 new people to teach.

so we had an interesting situation with our water. we had it cut for 6 days. it just got turned on last night before we left for montevideo. so lucky we were able to shower. sponge baths were just not cutting it.

but we are doing good. and working.
we found a kid named maximo. he is 18 years old and his whole family are member except for him.... i dint know why he is not baptized yet. we left a chapter to read and we came back for the next visit and he had read it and not only that but looked in the guide for the scripture and written questions that he had from his reading and he prayed and was truly seeing to understand more. i am excited for him to continue to progress.

we also have a 18 year old the is going to do a mini mission from our ward. she was semi active and not very interested with her scripture studies... this past sunday she got the call saying she was going to serve in rivera... wow did she change. not only her but also her entire family. they are all reading and super energetic about the church. it is perfect timing as well. because the mom is just coming back strong. so this will be a huge blessing to the family and they will love it.  ... as well she will be able to do interviews with pte this next week.

other then that we are doing good. i hope that all will go good today and will be able to start with running and not have to take anymore showers with a bag.

I love you all and Happy Thanksgiving

November 9, 2015

this week we had stake conference and President smith came as well. it was a great conference and alot of people loved it as well. all the talks hit the same points. and they were the basics. they all came in them from different angles but they all hit that we need to read the book of mormon.read read read. that is the basics and base to all learning in this life.
we were all given the challenge to read the book of mormon with in the next 5 months, before the next conference. i like this challenge. becuase now everyone is getting pushed from there leaderes as well.

we had a talk given about the safest place for a ship is the port. but a ship is not made to be docked in port. it is just like us and the church building. we a made and here to go out and work in the ward. and help others come home to the port.

but we went out and worked with him .after the stake conference and it was a great lesson. i feel early on in my mission i was timid when i taught with leaders or with Pte smith. but now i have come to a point where i know what i am teaching will save the person. and to be honest with elder Neilson and i we felt as if president was just another member that we were working with.

we made cinnomon rolls today they are super good. but i am wiating for moms cinnomon rolls.
and tommorrow we hav concilio in montevideo so this will be interesting to see what we are going to do with the mission.

President smith has a ton of trust in us. it was interesting, at dinner he was telling us all sorts of things and asked us if we wanted to go to rivera together this week. since we were comps there last year.

Also Luciana and Fedreco got married we were pretty happy about that.

November 3, 2015

this week we have changes. my comp is going home and he asked president to spend the last 3 days in his area that he had been in before in the same zone. so I was with elder Whitacre for the last 3 days. he looks like he could be a Pulsipher. so its like i was with a mini-me.

but for my comp i will be with elder Neilson. he was my comp last year in December. the super tall blond one. this will be a blast of a change. pte smith called for the changed Sunday and he told me that my comp would be elder Neilson. ¨you deserved it. you have worked hard¨ because pte knows we got along and worked very hard together.
he was comps with me. for one change and then with elder woodcock for two. and i was with elder woodcock as well for 2 changes.
so we have all been comps to each other for 2 changes each.

this last week i learned alot about the plan of salvation and how it works with us. why are we here on the earth.... to learn and to grow. and if we keep that in mind with all other questions of the gospel. everything makes sense. God gives trials so that we can grow and progress.

and also in PME in the section of our life on the earth.
the first sentence is the life is a great opportunity and blessing.
How is it a blessing. we don't get blessings for free. we have to earn them somehow. so something that we did qualified us for these blessing that we are receiving.

and that was our obedience before this life. and for the choices we made. some of us come into better situations then others. i don't know if that is from our obedience before this life. i would like to thinks so... from what i was given i feel i must of been very obedient before this life. i have had many opportunities in my life that others do not have. and never will. but  with much is given, much is expected. so i will have to continue and grow my talents that the Lord Gave me.

i heard that anson needs to kick for tvhs. i heard they are struggling with that one.
