Dec 15, 2015 the Last Letter

This is my last letter that I will send as a missionary.

last week on Friday I was able to go to a sealing of someone that I reactivated in Rivera. it was an amazing experience to see the full circle of this family. from advoiding us to being sealed. they have learned so much and are growing. not only that but the people that needed help when I was in rivera have also grow and have been strengthened. I have come to really see how much the gospel of Jesus Christ blesses the people on the earth.

this last week i will log a total of 55 hours of travel which includes 3 trips to montevideo and the trip home and the Trip to Vegas ¡GO COUGS!

I am excited to see you, however sad to leave Uruguay. It has become part of me. It will be a culture shock when I get home.

In my mission I have had many experiences that have changed my life but one that has stood out to me is in 3 nephi 10 4-8 this includes the doctrine of christ and the gathering of isreal. I know that if my friends and family are not there at the second coming I will Cry and I will Scream. Because I know that I could of done more and I didnt.

last night we taught luciana and fedrico this lession. and i asked that.... I have done everything that i can as a full time missionary (tthey havent gone in 2 months to church), now it is your hands. are you going to make me cry when Christ comes.(by not being there).

Attached are my experience that I have had on my mission.

November 25, 2015

sorry for not writing last week. there was some complications and a few bus rides to montevideo.

but i am doing good. this last week we worked hard and we found about 4 new people to teach.

so we had an interesting situation with our water. we had it cut for 6 days. it just got turned on last night before we left for montevideo. so lucky we were able to shower. sponge baths were just not cutting it.

but we are doing good. and working.
we found a kid named maximo. he is 18 years old and his whole family are member except for him.... i dint know why he is not baptized yet. we left a chapter to read and we came back for the next visit and he had read it and not only that but looked in the guide for the scripture and written questions that he had from his reading and he prayed and was truly seeing to understand more. i am excited for him to continue to progress.

we also have a 18 year old the is going to do a mini mission from our ward. she was semi active and not very interested with her scripture studies... this past sunday she got the call saying she was going to serve in rivera... wow did she change. not only her but also her entire family. they are all reading and super energetic about the church. it is perfect timing as well. because the mom is just coming back strong. so this will be a huge blessing to the family and they will love it.  ... as well she will be able to do interviews with pte this next week.

other then that we are doing good. i hope that all will go good today and will be able to start with running and not have to take anymore showers with a bag.

I love you all and Happy Thanksgiving

November 9, 2015

this week we had stake conference and President smith came as well. it was a great conference and alot of people loved it as well. all the talks hit the same points. and they were the basics. they all came in them from different angles but they all hit that we need to read the book of mormon.read read read. that is the basics and base to all learning in this life.
we were all given the challenge to read the book of mormon with in the next 5 months, before the next conference. i like this challenge. becuase now everyone is getting pushed from there leaderes as well.

we had a talk given about the safest place for a ship is the port. but a ship is not made to be docked in port. it is just like us and the church building. we a made and here to go out and work in the ward. and help others come home to the port.

but we went out and worked with him .after the stake conference and it was a great lesson. i feel early on in my mission i was timid when i taught with leaders or with Pte smith. but now i have come to a point where i know what i am teaching will save the person. and to be honest with elder Neilson and i we felt as if president was just another member that we were working with.

we made cinnomon rolls today they are super good. but i am wiating for moms cinnomon rolls.
and tommorrow we hav concilio in montevideo so this will be interesting to see what we are going to do with the mission.

President smith has a ton of trust in us. it was interesting, at dinner he was telling us all sorts of things and asked us if we wanted to go to rivera together this week. since we were comps there last year.

Also Luciana and Fedreco got married we were pretty happy about that.

November 3, 2015

this week we have changes. my comp is going home and he asked president to spend the last 3 days in his area that he had been in before in the same zone. so I was with elder Whitacre for the last 3 days. he looks like he could be a Pulsipher. so its like i was with a mini-me.

but for my comp i will be with elder Neilson. he was my comp last year in December. the super tall blond one. this will be a blast of a change. pte smith called for the changed Sunday and he told me that my comp would be elder Neilson. ¨you deserved it. you have worked hard¨ because pte knows we got along and worked very hard together.
he was comps with me. for one change and then with elder woodcock for two. and i was with elder woodcock as well for 2 changes.
so we have all been comps to each other for 2 changes each.

this last week i learned alot about the plan of salvation and how it works with us. why are we here on the earth.... to learn and to grow. and if we keep that in mind with all other questions of the gospel. everything makes sense. God gives trials so that we can grow and progress.

and also in PME in the section of our life on the earth.
the first sentence is the life is a great opportunity and blessing.
How is it a blessing. we don't get blessings for free. we have to earn them somehow. so something that we did qualified us for these blessing that we are receiving.

and that was our obedience before this life. and for the choices we made. some of us come into better situations then others. i don't know if that is from our obedience before this life. i would like to thinks so... from what i was given i feel i must of been very obedient before this life. i have had many opportunities in my life that others do not have. and never will. but  with much is given, much is expected. so i will have to continue and grow my talents that the Lord Gave me.

i heard that anson needs to kick for tvhs. i heard they are struggling with that one.

October 26, 2015

this last week we were able to teach the doctrine of christ again to the people. it has help the majority of the people here to come back and take the sacrament.
we had a bauptism of the child of someone that we had brought back to church. his child has just turned 8 and so he was baptized by his father. they are going to get sealled here in january. so that was very nice to see.
President called us on saturday morning and he told us he wanted to take us up to riverea for the weekend. he was going to stake conference there. and since my comp and i had both been there he wanted to take us with him. but things didnt workout on our side for getting out for the weekend. we had to many lessons. but he told us next time he will take us. he has done alot of these trips with me since i have become zone leader. he normally doesnt do these with anyone.

October 19, 2015

The weeks are flying by. this last week we had a ton of lessons helping the less actives come back to chuch and make goals to get there temple recomond back.

we have been working with a family to acheive these goals so that they can go back to the temple as a family.

we have been working with our ward leaders alot here in this ward and they are now working very efficiently with the plan that we have.

as for the zone we have worked with them to focus in on more investagators. there are alot more people that have people progressing with a baptisml date. we are happy with that and all the wards, this last week, went up with all there numbers. so that makes us happy that the zone is clicking alot better now.

we did service this week with our elders quorme president and he reminds me alot of dad and grandpa. he has a nice house and nice things because he works hard and he is constantly working. we have plans to make a bench and a rack for lifting. i have all the weights just not a rack. so this will be nice and a help to continue getting bigger.

i hope everything is going well at home. aubrey i am praying for you in your test this week. keep it up

and adam i am hearing good things from you from some of my misison buddies. keep killing it out there on the football feild.

i hope everyone is doing good.

this week i was studying the basics again. i went in lession one and ripped apart the teachings in PMG. i asked simple questions and tried to get better understanding.

for example
God has a body of flesh and bone.
Where and when did he get it?
Jesus Christ is central to the plan of God
Why and why Jesus, why not someone else
and there were some other ones that i cant remember but i have written down. it is just interesting to ask simple questions that we think we know. but we really dont.

for example where is the spirit world. on the earth. but there is prission and paradice. where are they are. its seperated. but where is it seperated...

how was it phyisically possible that christ bled from his pores. did his skin disolve or what. what happened with that.

who created us. God the Father or Jesus christ.
did god the father have to pass through an atonement.
how did The father become perfect.
did he have a christ.
how  many christ exist

just many interesting things.

hope all is well. keep working hard

Oct 12, 2015

this week there was alot of new things that happened. at zone conference on tuseday Pte brought me in to talk with me and said that he was going to switch my comp. he did not like his attitude and he was going to get switched to montevideo and the next change if he doesnt change he will get pulled down from zone leader. i hope he can get his act together. but he came and didnt want to be here in TBO.

but now i have elder Farnsworth. he is going home in 4 weeks. so it will be a good 4 weeks of work and then i will get a new one.

so this weke i worked in every single area in the zone doing divisions and staying with other missionaries because my comp left on wenseday and my next comp got here on friday night. so i was going all over the place. but it was good to be able to work with all the elders in th zone and help them all out.
so i was thinking alot about what mom always said to me Remember who you are and what that means. it is crazy to look at our eternal potential. we have so much and we need to work to acheive it. not only will we get there. to live with Heavenly father. we will alose Become like him. and live as he lives. what is our true potential. and this potential is not only for me. but also for everyother one of Gods Kids.
if we look at there perspective. like the apostle said in conference. if we look at the people with the perspectiveof the Father. it changes everything.

these first 3 weeks of the change have flow by we are already in week 4. but thats because i was gone out of my area 8 of the days. it was crazy. but now its crank down and work.

we have had 2 families so far come back and are active now. so we are having alot of success out here in the matutina.
